UPCOMING VIRTUAL EVENTS
Choral Collaboration & Performance
Our Virtual Choir produces choral pieces by combining the recordings of individual singers in their homes. It's a fun way to be part of the PVS family from afar. See below for our 2020 holiday performance of 'Winter Wonderland.'
Our next project is 'But Not for Me,' which will premiere March 6 during Fools in Love. All welcome!
Thursdays 6-8 PM via Zoom
January 5 - May 13
Open to all orchestral instrumentalists ages 8-18.
Students play, learn and grow during these fun and interactive sessions led by Chris Moeringher of the Teaching Artists Community Music School of Springfield. Activities include music rehearsals, virtual recording projects, music history, theory, improvisation, and masterclasses.
ENJOY & LEARN
Until it is safe to provide live performances, we will offer a variety of virtual opportunities to connect and engage with music in unique ways.
We have an incredible lineup of virtual winter and spring events which will bring PVS musicians, prize-winning composers, educators and experts together for truly exceptional programming.
America's Composers of Color
A key part of our spring programming is a five-part series of interactive presentations centered around the rich contributions Black, Native, Asian, Latinx and Arab composers have had in the musical tradition the United States and beyond. Join composers and expert scholars as they share their research, work and life experience as they reflect on this topic!
