Cesar Franck’s monumental musical essay on triumph over adversity, and destiny and free will anchors this powerful program of hope. The program opens with Verdi’s iconic overture to the opera “The Force of Destiny”. Then, the orchestra and chorus join forces for a rare performance of Brahms’s convulsively turbulent Song of the Fates.
