Suzanne O'Gara

Suzanne O’Gara is a Lyric Coloratura soprano with a passion for nurturing young voices in classical and musical theater, fostering keen musicianship and encouraging all students to embrace their unique sound.  Originally hailing from Long Island, Suzanne attended Ithaca College where she received a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, Minor in Dance, after which she began teaching privately as well as performing in various musicals and operas.

Other areas of expertise include foreign language diction and translation, sight-singing/musicianship, choosing the right repertoire, preparation for auditions, roles, competitions, and other recitals/performances, stagefright management, stagecraft, acting for singers, working with an accompanist, body awareness/dance/movement, herbal remedies for singers, and more.
