Beginning Strings Workshop Week

Service Description

*This listing is for students NOT enrolled in the Greenfield Public Schools.* This week is geared towards new recruits for the Strings for Kids program in the Greenfield Public Schools, but is open to any elementary or middle school student who is interested in trying out the violin or the cello. We will be learning the essentials of playing a string instrument, learning about the instruments themselves, as well as listening to some inspiring recordings, and even watching some videos of great performers. We will meet as a large group as well as instrument-specific groups. 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM Half-day workshop with a mid-morning snack/movement break. Sliding scale: $325-$250-$175 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Full-day workshop with a mid-morning snack/movement break, lunch break, and an afternoon session with free play and unstructured arts and music activities. Students bring their own lunch. Sliding scale: $500- $450 - $400 We strive to ensure accessibility of our programs to all members of the community. Classes are offered on a sliding scale.
