PVS Summer Sings are open community events, each led by a different conductor, who conduct a sing-and-play-through after taking a little time to workshop tricky sections. Choral enthusiasts and instrumentalists of all experience levels are welcome to attend for an informal and musically rewarding experience. Singers don’t need to have performed the work before, but will probably get the most out of the experience if they can sight-read adequately or are familiar with the work. Bring your own score or borrow a copy from the PVS. We invite instrumentalists to join a pick-up chamber orchestra, led by PVS Accompanist Larry Picard.
Admission is on a sliding scale with a suggested amount of $20. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Pay what you can afford. However, Summer Sings are a way for the PVS to earn a little revenue during the summer off-season, so please be as generous as you can! If you need to borrow a score, please reserve a spot in advance so we can be prepared: admin@pvso.org.
