About the event

Oliver Towne is a Mountain Lion who is lost in the Big City. He finds his way back home thanks to the help of many talking animals. This delightful fare will enchant young audiences and introduce them to the wonders of orchestral music!

Oliver Towne new work from Andrés Martín with words by Roger Arvid Anderson, commissioned for the PVS. Martín last joined the PVS in March 2021 when the PVSO performed his extraordinary Vox Concerto for Cello with Amos Yang. 

This live concert is not open to the public. It will be performed live for an audience of about 1,000 3rd- and 4th-graders and their educators in Franklin County, MA in April 2024, through a special partnership with local school districts. A concert recording will be available to the public to stream on demand for FREE in May 2024. 

Concert sponsors include the Mary Stuart Rogers Foundation and Mass Cultural Council.
