PVS' resident musicologist, Dr. David Schneider, Georges Lurcy Professor of Music & History at Amherst College, joins us at 6PM for a pre-concert talk.

Carl Orff’s irreverent Carmina Burana has become one of a handful of works that instantly recognizable from their openings! The text from the 13th century explores some wonderfully secular themes: the fickleness of fortune and wealth, the ephemeral nature of life, the joy of the return of spring, and the pleasures and perils of drinking, gluttony, gambling, and lust. John Adams presents an intricately fun orchestral lollapalooza to open the program!

Tickets for all concerts can be purchased on a $15-$35 sliding scale. Seats are general admission, regardless of which amount you choose. Payments on the upper end of the scale support our commitment to sliding scale rates. Choose a higher price to support the PVS and help us support accessibility for all. Choose a lower price if you need a discounted ticket, based on your financial need. The suggested ticket price is $25.

Tickets for youth up to age 18 and college students of any age are still just $5!
