CALE ISRAEL

Cale Israel is a multi-instrumental musician and teacher. He has expertise on trombone, drums, piano, electric keyboard and has relative proficiency in singing, songwriting, music theory, trumpet, euphonium, tuba, guitar, bass, and percussion. Cale is most comfortable with Jazz, Pop, and Improvised music, but is also well-experienced in the contexts of Rock, Blues, Reggae, Latin Jazz, Salsa, Classical, Symphonic, Choral, Hip-Hop, Funk, R&B. He attended Manhattan School of Music's Precollege program for 3 years in high school, and holds a bachelor's degree from the New England Conservatory in Jazz Performance. Cale has taught at such institutions as the New England Conservatory PreCollege (In the music theory department), Springfield, Boston and Brookline Public Schools, the Community Music School of Springfield, and Pioneer Valley Symphony private lessons program. He has performed on 6 national tours with various bands, and performed in venues from Avery Fisher Music Hall to Jazz at Lincoln Center's Allen Room to NPR's Mountain Stage, to grungy show house basements.
