Service Description

Sundays 5:00-7:00pm September to May You may register for one semester or the full year. Full schedule at pvsoc.org/youth-orchestra. Instructor: Nell Wiener Ages: 10-18 with at least 3 years' experience on their instrument. An audition is required. The PVS Youth Orchestra is an ensemble of talented, hard-working young musicians who learn, play, and grow together. The YO has independent public concerts, plays for their peers in a springtime tour of local schools, and has the unique opportunity to perform alongside the award-winning Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra at the annual Holiday Pops concert. A typical year includes 28 weekly Sunday evening rehearsals in Greenfield, including 2 focused sectionals, and 4 performances. Youth Orchestra families are considered Members of the Pioneer Valley Symphony organization, and are encouraged to participate in member events! An audition is required, with a nonrefundable $25 fee, which can then be applied toward tuition using code AUDITION 23 at checkout. Details at pvsoc.org/youth-orchestra.
