8 (or 4) Sundays 3:00-3:50pm Instructor: Rafe Wolman Class Dates: 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 12/3, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21 Ages: All This fun workshop will explore fiddle music from Southwest Louisiana. We'll learn tunes, style and technique, variation and improvisation, seconding (chords and rhythm), and a bit about the history of Cajun and Creole music. This class is appropriate for all levels (first position to advanced!), everyone will be able to participate and build a tapestry of lively sound together! This class is also available as a drop-in or select-a-date, in a separate listing if you cannot attend all the classes. We strive to ensure accessibility of our programs to all members of the community. Classes are offered on a sliding scale. Please choose the tuition rate that is right for you.
