The Pioneer Valley Symphony Youth Orchestra is a great opportunity to work with professionals and really step up your game as a musician.
Auditions for the PVS Youth Orchestra are open to all student string, wind, brass, percussion, keyboard and harp players, age 18 and under who meet the audition requirements.

The Pioneer Valley Symphony Assistant Conductor, Jonathan Brennand, will be the director of the PVS Youth Orchestra. Please see our Artistic Staff page for biographical information on him, and all of our artistic personnel.
The Youth Orchestra will perform twice on its own during the 2014-2015 season, in Greenfield on Saturday, November 22 at 4pm, and on Sunday, April 12 at 4pm, at Grace Episcopal Church in Amherst. The spring performance will be a joint performance with the Worcester Youth Junior Philharmonic. Other opportunities to perform include occasional side-by-side performances with the adult orchestra, and short performances in the community.

The audition fee is $20. You may pay by sending payment to the PVS office, or by bringing payment on the day of the audition. Checks may be made out to Pioneer Valley Symphony with the your child’s name and PVSYO in the memo line.
Tuition for the season is $200. If accepted into the youth orchestra, your audition fee will be credited to your tuition.
Applications for financial assistance will be available to all accepted students.
